Based in Anchorage, we specialize in providing professional ground transportation and expedition logistics support for Denali climbing teams, guided groups, and independent mountaineers. Anchorage to Talkeetna Transportation
Talkeetna serves as the primary gateway to Denali and the Alaska Range. Planet Earth Adventures provides reliable private transportation between Anchorage and Talkeetna, allowing climbers to focus on their expedition while we handle the logistics. Our spacious Mercedes Sprinter vans offer exceptional comfort and ample room for passengers, expedition duffels, sleds, food caches, climbing equipment, and oversized gear. Unlike crowded shuttle services, our vehicles are designed to accommodate the unique needs of mountaineering expeditions and outdoor adventure groups. DENALI EXPEDITIONS TRANSPORTATION COSTS
Anchorage – Talkeetna Expedition Transportation
Talkeetna, the gateway to Denali and the Alaska Range, is located just over two hours north of Anchorage by road. Planet Earth Adventures provides reliable round-trip transportation between Anchorage and Talkeetna for climbers, mountaineers, and expedition teams. Prices listed below are per person, are guaranteed at the time of booking, and are never subject to fuel surcharges or hidden fees.
We understand that mountain expeditions rarely operate on a fixed schedule. Weather delays, flight availability, and changing conditions on Denali often affect return dates from the mountain. For this reason, Planet Earth Adventures makes every effort to remain flexible and available for your transportation back to Anchorage. We kindly request a minimum of 3–4 hours notice once your return date and time have been confirmed. Regular return departures from Talkeetna typically operate between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, with our final shuttle to Anchorage departing no later than 8:00 PM.
1 climber - $299 one way
2 climbers - $190 one way
3 climbers - $140 one way
4 or more climbers - $120 one way
Prices above are per person and include at total of (2) stops. Upon request, we can stop at either REI or (AMH) Alaska Mountaineering & Hiking. We can also make (1) stop at a local food market. Food purchase stop is limited to no more than 1 hour. Your stop at the gear shop is limited to no more than 30 minutes. Any additional stops or extra time will incur additional charges. Total time for the shuttle service including the stops is 4 hours.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
A $100 non-refundable deposit per person is required at the time of reservation. A deposit reserves your space in our vehicle for your selected date. A credit card number must be provided at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable. All expeditions teams must return together from Talkeetna at the same time to honor the group pricing. If the team splits up, your team must be able to return on one of our scheduled group pick-ups or be flexible and join one of our other scheduled pick-ups. If we have to make an extra trip, additional charges will apply.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A MasterCard or VISA or AMEX is required to make your reservation. Your card will be charged for the deposit when you book your trip. We require at least 30 days notice for cancellations otherwise your deposit will be forfeited. No-shows or cancellations with less than 30 days notice will not be eligible for a refund. Late arrivals that miss the departure will be considered a no-show.
