About the Dog Sled Adventure Tour
Join us for the premier dog sledding adventure in Alaska. Located only an hour from Anchorage this tour includes meeting and greeting all of our dogs from the young to our retired dogs. In fact, from the moment you get out of your car our retired "Walmart Greeters" will be ready and wagging their tales to greet you. From there we will do a brief orientation before we head to the dog yard where we will get the teams ready and then head out on the trail. This tour goes up and down hills, through the woods and over frozen lakes. There will be plenty of time for pictures so don't forget your camera!
We provide you with all the winter gear you need including boots, snowsuits and gloves to keep you warm included in the tour.
Dog Sled Adventure Tour
Tour Details
Not only do we love to share a life lived with dogs with you, the dogs do, too. This is evident from the moment your tour begins. Every dog is part of our family. Each has a special place on our team whether is retired sled dogs who greet you when you arrive or dogs in their prime who will take you on Alaska’s winter trails. After you’re outfitted for winter, we’ll share some tales from the trail around the campfire before introducing you to the whole team, many who have raced the Iditarod multiple times. This tour is more than sitting in a sled and going in a loop — it’s interactive. We invite you to be part of the adventure on one of our dog sled rides, beginning with giving the dogs love and attention before we head out on the trail. Once we’re on the trail, you can take in the sights riding in a custom-made tour sled, or you can help you guide drive the sled! Either way, in our signature 2 hour dog sled rides, there is something for everyone! Book your tour today! Alaska is calling and you mush go!
NOTE: We want everyone to have a positive and successful experience. Please let us know if someone in your group is not comfortable around dogs. We are experienced at providing safe and welcoming introductions to the dogs and are happy to work with your group.
What To Bring & What To Wear
Layers are the name of the game for winter in Alaska. We want to make sure you’re warm and comfortable while on the trail. At no extra charge, we will provide you with insulated outerwear — coveralls, gloves and boots — to wear during your tour. We recommend bringing your own hat and scarf or neck gaiter.
